Over the past 10 years, we have supplied beautiful tins to coffee and tea brand Simon Lévelt. They have realized that tins offer a sustainable solution when it comes to packaging products. The brand is introducing packaging-free shopping, where customers can buy a Simon Lévelt tin, which they can refill in the shop each time.
We were allowed to develop this personal tin packaging together with the people at Simon Lévelt. Important here is that the tins are exactly big enough for a certain number of grams of coffee beans or tea herbs. Moreover, the cans must fit nicely on the shelves of the shops, which on average are on the low side. The tins can be bought in different sizes, and it is important that the different sizes add up nicely in a logical sense.

The material of the tin should be suitable for coffee beans and tea spices. The aromas must not affect the material and must be well preserved in the tin. This is why the choice was made to equip the cans with what is known as an 'aroma lock'. A special component that keeps the aromas inside the packaging. This is extremely important, but certainly with high quality coffee and tea.
It is great to be able to contribute to a sustainable initiative like this and help the brand reduce its carbon footprint. After all, that is the goal of the 'premium organic' coffee and tea brand.
